Our Different Classes
Online
With the new events happening during 2020
Español with Mercedes expanded the online classes not just for the high schoolers and adults but also for elementary students. This new experience has been very positive and welcomed among the younger ones and their parents.
Elementary Students
Children at this level learn Spanish in small groups through games, listening activities, songs, etc.
Also, a very important part of the curriculum is phonics. Using games and other fun activities, students learn how to read Spanish from a very early age, giving them a considerable advantage in learning the language.
Middle and High School
Many of the students on this level need to improve their Spanish for school. Español with Mercedes offers all the grammar support they need at this level, making it easy for them to understand the language. We also help students succeed in International Baccalaureate Programs (A.B.), A.P. Spanish, and Spanish Honors.
Adults
Living in Florida the need to understand and communicate in Spanish increases every day.
Español with Mercedes offers individual classes that adjust to the specific needs of each adult student's personal or work-related needs.
Cooking Classes
During holidays and vacations, we offer cooking classes for which we design an easy and interesting menu for the kids to cook and eat from Spanish cuisine. Lasting two to three hours, depending on the age of the students, we use our Spanish vocabulary and cooking skills to create two or three different dishes and desserts. After that, we enjoy eating them while listening to some Spanish music!
